Queen Victoria

DESCRIPTION:

Travel with your guide to Victoria Park, a weekend playground for the locals. Your guide will lead you through a myriad of forest tracks, another of the best walks in Christchurch.  This will bring you out on the crater rim walkway with outstanding views back over Christchurch City, and also towards Diamond Harbour.  Have coffee at one of Christchurch's top heritage sights, the 'Sign of the Kiwi' before returning to Christchurch City.

DISTANCE / ELEVATION:
This walk covers 8km, a moderately challenging climb. The elevation gain is 494m / 1620 feet.

FITNESS LEVEL:
A reasonable level of fitness is required as there is some ascent and decent. This track can become muddy after rain so your guide will advise if another track is preferable on the day.  If you have any concerns please get in touch with your guide beforehand, or for a less challenging walk check out our Path of the Gods.
